Bits from "The relief of Imperfection"

As I am reading this book, I found a quote by Joanna Weaver-the author of "Having a Mary heart in a Martha world." It says "overburdened, overworked, and overwhelmed. What started as a joy became drudgery, and I felt like giving up. Nothing is harder to bear than a burden we're are not called to carry. And while there are many needs, God has not asked us to meet every one." Wow, what a profound statement, especially for me. I am a go getter, the fixer upper, the I can do it all person. You need something, I am your girl. But, as my pastor has told me many times before, I might want to learn the meaning of "no". I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel that God has called me to do many things. But, then I think, did He? or is it me, thinking it. I have learned to trust in prayer and seek His guidance and support. I have learned to trust the whisper of His voice telling me its ok to say no to this and that. I have learned that "He has not asked me to meet every need." Thank and praise God for that!! He has a special job for me, and I love finding out through His word, what that job is. What about you? What do you think? Have you been in this situation before? Care to share??

Random thoughts

Hello all

Have you felt the pressure beign lifted off your shoulders? Literally? That is how I felt today. For some reason, the dust is settling and things are clear to see. Some decisions are easier than others. But when you focus on the ONE that has already all decided and planned, life gets easier. As I read the New Testament, I find the answers to my questions and the answers to my prayers. Try it, it will change your life. When life gets too much to bear, too many decisions to make, not too many answers...remember that the ONE who made you, already wrote your stories. These times are there for a reason. Take everything in stride and focus on the right target....JESUS. What is your take?

Sundays

Hello everyone

Don't you love Sundays? It is time for church, for family time and to prepare for the work week. My Sundays are full of motion. Starting at 8am preparing for church and then to spend the day doing whatever is there to do for the week. Before I know it, it is 9pm and off to bed (at least try to. Today I felt a renewing feeling.I specifically LOVED the way our church started today. They used the power point to display specific Bible verses that had the word LOVE in them. I wonder how many are there? I challenge my friends here to find how many times the word LOVE is in the New Testament. Then post here your favorite verse and why it is.
